Day after day, getting up before dawn to watch the beautiful palette of colors awake over the islands.
Giant saguaro cacti were in bloom on this meandering sandy trail. In the shade of the shrubs, we witnessed the Rattleless Rattlesnake! I wonder if John Steinbeck ever came across one of these while writing his book of the region, Sea of Cortez?
The desert meets the sea in Baja, Mexico. Isla Espriritu Santo is in the Sea of Cortez, near the city of La Paz. The island is a great place to set up a base camp for kayaking, whale watching, hiking, etc.

Great hotel right off the main street! Not overly crowded since it's not in the malecon area which makes for a more private stay. Si necesitas donde dormir y bañarte, está perfecto! Muy limpio, tiene todo lo necesario Y de al rededores tienes TODO caminando, no tuve necesidad de rentar coche, todo depende de lo que quieras hacer, pero está súper céntrico! Sin problemas me vuelvo a quedar ahí
