Plus no tea towel to actually was cups and drinking glasses properly.

"Great location and staff were great.
Didn't like being directed to a self check in kiosk when I was the only person there and 2 staff members were at reception. I am sure if there were a lot of people waiting it would be good, but felt cold.
Also being woken at 7.30am by housekeeping staff entering my room without knocking and turning on the lights was mildly distressing.
Even with these negatives the overall experience was good and I would stay again."

"While this is a beautiful old hotel, it does come with some issues. The HVAC in our room did not work. We asked 3 times to get fixed. Luckily the windows can open but the street noise was very loud. The shower was nice but water splashed everywhere due to the small glass door and very slippery. Dated but full of charm. Not a 5 star but perhaps a 4."

I had planned to just whip up a simple dinner in my room, but since the place even had a full-size oven, I was able to enjoy cooking with locally sourced ingredients I bought at the market. All the staff were friendly. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Melbourne."
