"This is a must do hotel. There’s no doubt that The location and scenery are beautiful. However, it is to be visited once and that is it. We would not return. I had high hopes that this place would be incredible. It fell short of that. There’s one thing having a hotel that is outdated but there’s another thing having a hotel poorly maintained. Rooms felt as if they were not fully finished. Don’t get me wrong. They were clean but you can’t promote a hotel to be 4 stars and it barely having a proper bed to sleep in. It had two single beds pushed together with a sheet on top. Pillows that you can tell had been overused. No hair dryer. The hotel inside smelled like mold. The morning breakfast served poor food. Ham and cheese was the best on the menu. The swimming pool was being repaired upon arrival. Mind you the website clearly stated that it would be functioning starting June 1. Not the case. The pool deck was dangerous to walk on. The paint was coming off that as you walked it poked your feet. If you stepped wrong it would for sure cut you open. My three year old almost fell through the wooden old planks in the deep end part as we crossed the pool deck. The beach is right next door. That made it super accessible. It is naturally a very windy spot definitely made more for windsurfing etc. not for laying but we made the best of it. Just heads up. Overall yes do come and experience it—once. The view is the 4 stars it claims to be But not the hotel itself."

"First class stay in Cascais. No question that I would stay here again. Hotel is not cheap but worth every penny. Location is unbeatable; restaurant is top notch, views are breathtaking and staff is tremendous. And there's parking! Can't wait to get back here. Oh! and Cascais is a great detox after long flight and before your long road trip through Portugal."

"It was our second time visiting this hotel. The whole staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. The food in general was excellent. We ate a few times at the bar as we had long days with activities. We are saddened to hear that the hotel will be closing for renovations in the autumn under new ownership. We only hope that when they reopen in early 2028, the owners will keep it’s charm without becoming pretentious and overpriced."

"Overall the hotel is a great place to stay at, and we would recommend it. We will definitely be back. Only downfall was that there was a group of high school students on a school trip on our second night stay. They made so much noise throughout the middle of the night. Loud banging noises and screaming. It was incredibly annoying. The staff tried to correct it but it kept going on. There should be a little more control over this. Especially considering it is a family resort. The breakfast buffet is one of the best ones we’ve had. Worth it!"
