"This is a really special hotel suffering from under-investment. The staff I met—from the front desk, to housekeeping, and the bar/restaurant—were all working hard. But there were never enough of them to make the place run smoothly. The beautiful property (ok, except the “modern wing,” where rooms are more akin to SROs) just isn’t being maintained lovingly. "Excellent location for visiting the famous attractions. Just a few blocks from palais des papes. Super clean room. Basic furnishings but great value for the price. The only significant downside is that parking is difficult. You will probably need to park in a lot and walk multiple blocks to reach the hotel."

"The garden is truly beautiful! Also, the property is in an excellent location from which to explore the city. The Hotel Proprietors were very lovely. After our train was delayed five hours, and we arrived just before midnight, they had still stayed up to let us in and help us to our room. Very kind!"
