The hotel was conveniently located to explore the peninsula. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, particularly the bread and smoked salmon. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner was great.
Convenient location, comfortable rooms and good breakfast buffet. Great for a quick stop to the peninsula. We had a great view of the Northern Lights right outside the room during our stay as well.
Great location to explore the peninsula. Newly renovated clean and comfortable rooms. Tasty breakfast, dinners were fantastic. The staff are warm, friendly and efficient. Terrific stay.
The hotel is located at a very good location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful. I would definitely recommend a stop for Hot Chocolate even if you are not staying here.
The location is unbeatable. Convenient to a lot of attractions. Friendly staff and breakfast is included. It’s an older hotel so the room does have a mild smell but otherwise it’s great
Friendly and convenient location if you are exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. It is more like an upscale motel room with a great dining room. All rooms are ground floor, and you enter them from an external walkway. Breakfast was delish - homemade bread and jam, skyr, fruit, hard boiled eggs, lox, ham, cheese, pastries, and coffee/tea (probably forgetting some things). The staff were wonderful - very friendly, down to earth, and hardworking people. They kindly held my luggage before check-in so I could explore, then accommodated a late check-in at 9 pm (I called ahead to make a plan with them). Amenities are basic (bring your own conditioner). Room was comfortable and warm but not too hot in late September. This area is amazing, and the hotel location cannot be beat.
What a wonderful and conveniently located hotel with the added bonus of an attached excellent restaurant and bakery. Even more exceptional was the extra effort they took to mail a forgotten stuffed toy that had been left behind :) Priceless!
Staff were very helpful. We had dinner there once and two breakfasts. The food was very good. The weather did not cooperate. However, we traveled to the north side of the Snaefellsnes peninsula and had decent weather there. There is much to see in this area. Its location is very rural; thus, other restaurants, grocery stores, swimming pools, etc. are some distance away.
This property is in a great location at a crossroads of exploring the Snaefellsness Peninsula. The staff were so nice and also very helpful, particularly James in the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and substantial.
A couple of minor complaints were that the bathroom shower drain and extremely high shower curtain did not keep the bathroom floor dry. And our room was quite a distance from the parking.
Hotel staff who oriented us to our room was charming. The room was clean but quite hot with the sun of the season and the heated floors. Would have liked a fan. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. I liked the rainbow flag and show of support to gay couples.
