"The A/C was good, my room was terrible next to the elevator shaft. I could hear and feel the vibrations from the elevator all day and night long. I was going to stay an extra day, but they tried to gouge me. And they weren’t very accommodating. "

"I booked this hotel based on the other hotels.com reviews but now it is clear to me that most of the positive reviews are fake. I graduated from GCU and needed a cheap and clean place to stay. I wasn’t expecting much but this was a huge surprise… in the worst way. Upon arrival, I was met with the site of a pimp and 2 of his employees, one of which had no legs. I also saw several scary looking men, obviously on drugs. When I checked in, I was told that I was checking in to a smoke free room. Perfect, I don’t smoke. I walk in and I am hit with the smell of strong nasty cigarettes. Ew. We get into the room and it looks ok-ish at first but I quickly noticed the cigarette burns in the curtains, the mold in the shower, and the not so recently mopped floors. The only positives were the water pressure in the shower was good, the water temperature got nice and hot, and the fridge and microwave were clean and worked well. I absolutely would never come here again. Please do not come here if you are traveling with children. The yelp reviews mention multiple shootings in the parking lot. This was my bad for not doing more research before coming. Also, on our way out, I encountered another hooker whos nips and butt cheeks were completely out. Not what I was expecting to see at 7:45AM. Staff was polite"

"We stayed here while visiting Phoenix for my graduation, and I really wanted to love this place. Upon arrival, the general manager was very kind and welcoming—he even gave us popsicles, which was a nice touch and made a great first impression.However, our experience quickly changed. We specifically booked this hotel because of the pool. Before our stay, I called on Tuesday evening to confirm the pool hours and was told it would be open until 11 PM. The general manager also confirmed this upon our arrival. The night of my graduation, after a long day and late afternoon photo shoot, my husband and I went to the pool around 8:15 PM—well before the stated closing time. Unfortunately, we were stopped by the bar manager, who blocked our way and told us the pool was closed. When I mentioned we were told it closes at 11 PM, he responded by yelling. I told him I could hear him and there was no need to raise his voice. Instead of apologizing or calmly explaining, he continued to be dismissive and rude, blaming the music.We were not trying to argue or force entry—we simply expected clear and respectful communication. Even a simple “I’m sorry, the pool is closed tonight” would have been enough. To make things more confusing, a staff member mentioned that the pool lights had not been working for months, which raises concerns about misinformation being given to guests. It felt like the manager just didn’t want to serve guests at the pool.It was also uncomfortable to witness how he spoke to"

"While I cannot give a particularly good reason to stay here. I also cannot give a particularly bad reason not to stay here. It’s fine for one night as a spot to sleep. Amenities were great, could use a little updating. "

"The reviews for this property were hugely misleading and the front desk staff, Travis, was extremely rude. This property IS NOT newly renovated nor is it what I would expect for a Marriott property. Despite the inability to enter one's Marriott reward number from the Expedia site, I was told had I provided my Marriott number during booking I would have been afforded better amenities. Travis further stated I should have booked directly with Marriott, which was not his place to offer his personal opinion. It was disappointing to learn that although I requested a handicap accessible room, near the elevator, the closest accessible rooms were nearly at the end of the hallway, nowhere near the elevator. Additionally, the carpet in the hallway as well as in the room was filthy and laiden with stains. Inside the room, there was a damp, mildew smell and the bathroom tub seemed as if it could use more attention. I appreciate Melissa, the manager trying to rectify the matter after repeated requests for her to be contacted, but this is not a place I would recommend, even in a pinch."
