Gave us one towel to use for the three nights I stayed(thank goodness I always bring extra) A housekeeper entered my room and even though the sign said to not bother us(the day of checkout, two hours prior to checkout) Terrible city view. My view was a parking lot & the roof of the next door building "

"The price I saw online at Expedia.com was different than the price I paid. Had to pay $90 extra than the price I saw online, when I got to hotel. Not hotels fault, Expedia had the wrong price posted for the room!!"

"Hotel Houze — Downtown Detroit, Michigan Not Recommended When I first arrived, I was assigned to Room 04, which had not been cleaned. I was moved to another room, but the issues didn’t stop there. The hotel looks more like a motel from the inside, with a metallic appearance on the upper floors. The quality of the sheets was very poor. they appeared yellow and brownish, suggesting the laundry machines are either dirty or using harsh chemicals that discolor the linens. Even worse, the blanket I was given had visible blood stains on it, which was completely unacceptable. I was on the top floor and the ceiling was actively leaking the entire stay. I had to use the dirty blankets to cover a pot catching the water. When I went to iron my blouse for my trade show the next morning, there was residue on the iron that transferred directly onto my clothes. Because the internet and phone lines were both down, I had no way to contact the front desk to request a new iron. I was left with no choice but to spend approximately 30 minutes scrubbing the iron clean with a Brillo pad myself before I could finish getting ready. The internet went out Tuesday midday and was down for the rest of my stay. During that time there were also no working phone lines, and the keypad entry system to the rooms was not functioning properly either. That said, the front desk staff were excellent and very professional. And I do appreciate that Expedia provided a 50% reimbursement after I reported thes issues."

"Beautiful ! It smelled amazing and it was super clean ! The bar was great and atmosphere . I only wish there breakfast had more of a selection and I wish I didn’t have to pa for parking every time I left the hotel "

"A lovely spot for our quick stay! Breakfast was amazing, rooms were clean and quiet, and the property cafes about sustainability, a big plus for us. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city and fun things to do and good places to eat. Will definitely come back!"

"Weirdest hotel i have ever stayed at. When GPS told me i had arrived, i couldnt even find the hotel. Its like an old apartment building that has been remodeled. No signage. Nothing to draw your attention that this is the place you need to be. Had to call to get in. Man answers the phone and says hell be there in 15 to open t.he door !?!? I misswd the fine print on how to check in. There is no onsite manager. No onsite house keeping. Room was clean, but there wasnt any tissues and no toilet paper holder. Just a roll of TP on the back of the toilet. There wasnt any shampoo or condition.... well there was an open bottle of head and shoulders in the shower... The shower gell they provided had gunk all over the tubes. No way to change the temperature of the room- no thermostat was in the room. It was hotter than Hades! On top of that, i was charged way more money than what i reserved the room for online! It should be interesting trying to get my money back. I have another trip to Detroit in April. I was going to stay here then. But i quickly canceled that reservation. Never again! "
