"Honestly I was disappointed in our stay. We spent extra money on a "luxury" hotel for 1 night rather than staying 2 nights in the city, so it was a big deal to splurge. There was a wedding at the hotel, and it felt super crowded, like we were in the way when we were in any of the shared spaces. Then in the middle of what should have been our romantic evening, the fire alarm went off and we had to stand out in the rain for 30 minutes. "Awesome location- we walked to Comerica Park for the ball game! Nearby construction noise SUCKED at the crack of dawn plus the all night screaming by someone on street made for a bad nights sleep. Catwalk to casino was nice. Make sure to tell rideshare driver to drop you off at HOTEL and not casino to avoid two block walk with your luggage."

"Detroit is full of beautiful old buildings and this is a great one, run by the same woman who worked on its renovation. I stayed in the Dahlia room, which has a jacuzzi and lovely fireplace. The bed was extremely comfortable. Morning coffee is served in a gorgeous parlor and solarium, and the proprietors are very attentive and helpful. "

"Booked through Expedia obviously. The hotel took the portion that was supposed to be taken from Expedia taken from my credit card used for incidentals at check in. Still trying to get ahold of element hotel to get my money back. So basically paid for hotel twice."

"Very nice hotel! Rooms have amazing views and are layout well. Bathroom is functional but small. Beds are very firm and could use a comforter. Breakfast is available but is 18.95 a person. Staff is very friendly and hotel is very clean. You are in walking distance to a Starbucks around the corner! "
