This is an old, historic hotel. I didn’t have expectations of luxury. However - “mountain view” rooms should be called “non fjord view”. I suppose mountain view is technically correct but it’s a little too cute by half to get around advising people in advance that they don’t actually get a fjord ...

The Heimly staff was friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room had gorgeous views of the fjords. Breakfast was excellent, and the three-course vegetarian dinner that the chef prepared for us was the best meal we had on our trip to the Scandinavian ...

Lovely uograded room with a balcony. All staff friendly on receptionand especially in the pub next door. I had a great meal there and a couple of lovely beers
