"Front office staff not friendly. Check out section was closed and there was not a sign redirecting us. The halls were noisy at night and no one monitored that. Staff told us we could go to other riu resort and we were not allowed to have breakfast or use towels. Bad communication from staff. Won’t be back"

"My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! The food was delicious, everyone was very friendly, and the view from our partial ocean view room was stunning! Sunset walks on the beach, shaded pool loungers, we couldn’t have asked for more from our first all inclusive hotel experience. Thank you!"

"Very nice hotel don’t get my wrong nice pools drinks were good staff was very friendly but did have some cons , first of all when we check in the don’t tell us to make sure to take care of those pool card or you will be charged for them they however do make sure to mention that there is no reservations for restaurants but then when you try to go to steak house you have to be there at 6:00 to have your name written down for the wait but then half of the resturant is empty and they don’t let you go in after 7:45 !!!! Would I go back probably not but not bad for the price you pay I guess you get what you pay for ."

"We were greatly impressed with the friendly service of all the staff at Villa La Estancia. The restaurants had delicious food plated so perfectly along with outstanding servers. I highly recommend the steak tenderloin at La Casona as well as the shrimp enchiladas at El Patron at the sister resort Villa Del Palmar. The pool service was amazing…Jésus and his team were very friendly and quick to make sure our seats had towels and that we had what we wanted whether that be shade or sun, a pool or ocean view. The bartenders at the swim up bar were friendly and willingly accommodated special requests…the food servers work so hard and were always ready to take a drink or food order and to deliver it quickly. Our rooms were always cleaned well and they have such a nice touch by providing a turn down service around five or six o’clock when they also refresh the bathroom with towels. We also really enjoyed the opportunity to play pickleball. We would highly recommend this resort as we feel you get high quality service staying here. We think the price is worth the value of what you experience here. "

"Enjoyed how quiet the resort was. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate and felt like home. There was one particular person who made our trip exceptional. Alonso, who sits in a booth outside the resort, went out of his way to get me some distilled water for my CPAP. He drove back to his home town and picked some up for me as we could not find any in the stores nearby. Thanks Alonso, you won't believe how much that meant to us. We did notice that on certain days some restaurants were not open, the brochure said the Japanese place is open on certain days, but the International was closed one evening and the Mexican place was closed another evening leaving a very limited selection. Most days there were no beach chairs available. At check in they clearly say that you can't save chair, yet every morning you would see people out throwing towels on chairs and then leaving. Also, I understand that it is a members resort, however the so called 75 minute presentation was 3hrs. Not to mention the push by sales people to make you become a member was revolting. They say no obligation, but they passed us through five different sales people to try to get a sale. We asked for a copy of the Terms and conditions, but they would not provide it to us unless we put down $1000.00. What company runs this way. Immediately a red flag was raised, what are they hiding. The more they pushed the angrier I got, especially since it took our entire morning. "

"Friendly staff, very clean rooms with great air condition and ceiling fans. Grounds and pool are wonderful. Beach location is perfecto. Not all the rooms have an ocean view. So be sure to ask when booking or checking in. "
