Our family has been staying at the Highland Lake Inn for years. Each room, cabin, and home is unique, clean, and beautifully decorated. We stayed in a large cabin with very comfortable beds and a fireplace that warmed the room well. The shower had great water pressure and we never ran out of hot water. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the included full breakfast buffet is excellent. The property is relaxing and fun to explore. HLI will always be our first choice when staying in the Flat Rock or Hendersonville area.

The rustic, natural location was ideal for exploring and creativity. The cabin room was spacious. The natural gas logs were efficient and heated the large room quickly. The bathroom was clean. However, the lights above the sink did not work such that the lighting produced strong shadows and low lighting. The rocker recliners were clean, but my mate refused to sit as they were too low to the floor. The breakfast was amazing. The cost was very reasonable. Good experience. I look forward to returning solo.

We stayed in the lodge, and because of the time of year there were very few guests, so it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. The only exception was one evening when a family reunion was taking place until around 10:00 PM. The lodge is historic and full of charm and character. While it hasn't been completely modernized, that's part of its appeal—it offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that fits the setting perfectly. The buffet breakfast each morning at Seasons Restaurant was a real highlight. It was excellent and far exceeded the typical hotel breakfast, with a great selection and quality. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is convenient to numerous recreational activities and local attractions. Our favorite part was exploring the many waterfalls and scenic creeks throughout the area. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Love the quaintness of the old, feeling the seclusion, the game room, the living area. The only problem was there was hardly anybody there (which was very nice) but then when somebody did come in, they put them right across the hall (3 feet) from us.

The place to stay if your ever in Flat Rock, NC

Stayed in the Woodward House, the room was charming and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Went in the off season so many amenities were not available. The grounds were well kept. We were able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and had a great experience staying there.
