Top Flimby Hotel Reviews

Mary Mount Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful location overlooking Derwent Water, just a short walk down to the boat for Keswick"

Crow Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Easy parking and helpful staff. Breakfast had many lovely choices hot and cold. Quiet for nice atmosphere and good rest. Our room was sorely in need of plumbing maintenance in that both the shower did not drain and backed up over the bathroom floor and started to encroach onto carpet so we had to have short shower and ask for more towels to soak up water, and toilet was not flushing intermittently. Both issues brought to attention of front staff who apologized and scheduled maintenance. Otherwise the stay was lovely."

The Grange Country House
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most wonderful stay at The Grange Country House. Our room was clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view out over the gardens. The breakfasts were freshly made each day and delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - I can’t remember the last time I received such great service. Location was excellent, a quick 10/15 min walk into town. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to or recommend this hotel. Thank you!"

Ennerdale Country House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Smashing location - nice accommodation, don't be put off by the somewhat weathered exterior of the building. Clean and comfortable room, OK breakfast, nice evening meal, though note that if you book dinner the drink they offer you is NOT included, which only became clear at checkout! Great location, competitive price, nice grounds. Dog friendly. Pleasant and helpful staff, though a very small team"

Keswick Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Room was basic and clean, dated but typical for a B&B-type place in the UK. There is actually a lot of charm to these places with the "Fawlty Towers"-esque 10 staircases to get to the top floor, some of them downwards 😅 The room was boiling hot in the recent heatwave, as the portable fan wasn't left on, and the blinds were left wide open before check-in with the sun streaming in. It never cooled down fully and had to sleep under a wrung out towel to sleep. But those temps are rare in the Lakes. Maybe something for the hotel management to consider when it is very hot, closed blinds, fan on, and a little note apologising for the dinginess, but an explanation why. Breakfast was nice, lots of toast, unlimited cold buffet and attentive staff. Sausages could have been better quality for Cumbria. Location was perfect for transport, 8 minutes powerwalk to the main bus station, and a bus stop for the X services from Penrith right outside. A good corner shop a few minutes away for supplies. Would stay again for what I needed it for, one night in Keswick as a little home base."

The Allerdale Court Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely, spacious family room. It was very clean and spotless. Tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. Really friendly and helpful receptionist."

Borrowdale Gates Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Second time staying here and we will definitely continue to visit. The location is beautifully quiet and only a 10 minute drive to Keswick town centre We come with our dog and the rooms are very dog friendly (must ring ahead to be allocated a dog room), however I wish there was more dog friendly allocated space in the hotel itself, as we personally won’t leave our dog unattended in a room to go for breakfast/a drink in the bar which is the only downside, so we ate elsewhere The staff are super friendly, The hotel is modern and the surrounding mountains are beautiful"

Seacote Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Have used this hotel many times and always gives good service."

Keswick Country House Hotel
4/10 Poor
"This hotel is in an excellent location in Keswick and the staff were very helpful. The bar area was large and relaxing. However, the room, apart from the carpets, was tired and needed refurbishment. There was a black mould around the wooden windows. The shower unit was yellow with age. Even the toilet paper was thin and cheap. The breakfast was adequate, but the orange juice in particular, was like coloured water. Given the much higher price compared to local b&bs, we were disappointed with the overall experience."
