"Very clean rooms and the whole hotel is in great condition. Marvao is a very special and nice village within an old fortress on top of a mountain about 840 meters over the sea level. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay!"

"Poorly maintained hotel We did not have even hot water for the shower They did not tell us it was a problem with the water heater when we checked in, we may have asked for a refund and look for another hotel, but obviously was too late by the time we found a little note they left in the room. This is at the most, a 2 stars hotel "

"It was lovely and memorable and we truly enjoyed our stay and visit. The property's location is amazingly breathtaking, the staff attentive and professional and the food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet provided a variety of delicious bites for a diverse palate. Strolling or driving around the town was fun with something amazing to discover at every corner. Although the heating system didn't work too well and the windows weren't able to close efficiently, it was expected and managed by drawing the curtains closed. The room had some dust and cobwebs along corners, window sills etc., but it's a historical place, so again, expected. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample space for storage. We wished we stayed a few more days because it was worth the experience. The views from the room were magnificent. A bottle of wine was provided and that made for a sweet souvenir. Thank you Pousada Castelo de Estremoz for an unforgettable accommodation. "
