"We loved this hotel! I definitely will be staying here again on my next trip to Switzerland. We rented an EV car and you’re able to charge it during your stay. Even though it was a bit further from the hiking activities we did, having the car and driving to them worked out perfectly for us. "Unfortunately, this hotel felt cheap and outdated despite the price charged. Yes, the location is excellent, right in Grindelwald and close to the train station, and the mountain view from the balcony is beautiful. However, compared to other older hotels we stayed at in Zermatt and Pontresina, this hotel fell far short of expectations. The walls are paper thin — you can hear your neighbours very clearly. The room is extremely small and not particularly functional. The bathroom and shower are so tiny that they are difficult to use comfortably. Overall, everything feels low quality, from the artificial plastic flowers in the reception area to many aspects of the room itself. As we were dissatisfied, we inquired about shortening our stay and receiving a partial refund for one or two nights. The receptionist was kind and offered to discuss the matter with the manager, but our request was ultimately refused without much explanation or flexibility. While the location and view are definite positives, the overall experience did not meet our expectations for the price paid."

"Excellent stay from start to finish. The location is perfect, especially for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding mountain areas. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of options, and all the common areas were spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. What stood out most was how much thought had clearly gone into guest comfort. Everything felt welcoming, organized, and designed to make guests feel relaxed and cared for. We genuinely felt well looked after during our stay. One of the few hotels where I felt every dollar was well spent. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grindelwald."

"Even though I called and verified the fact that we had changed our date and actually talked to the hotel manager at the hotel guaranteed us that we were good that he was taken care of it. We got there and they said we did not have a reservation at all, not even the day before which was the day we had paid for. Said it was all Hotels.com fault that it was going on through the whole country. therefore, I will not be using Hotels.com anymore ever again and we were silver members."

We truly enjoyed our stay, especially the complimentary breakfast, which was a wonderful addition to the experience. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. Everything exceeded our expectations, making our stay both relaxing and memorable. We look forward to returning and staying here again in the future. Highly recommended!"
