"Room was clean and comfortable. A lot of hotels now have large pump toiletries, this hotel does not, just tiny bottles. I wish the pool/hot tub were open until 10 rather than 9."

"This is our first stay, and we will be back. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff were couteous and responsive to requests. The breakfast buffet is filled with a good assortment of hot and cold options, fruit, and other breakfast items. Caitlin and Damaris did a great job of managing the breakfast and coffee bar. The pool has a heated section making it more enjoyable for off season. "

"We recently stayed at The Ellie for two nights, booking two rooms for three adults and three children. We specifically chose this resort because of its advertised family-friendly amenities and activities, as this trip was meant to be a special gift for the kids. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match what was promoted on the website. It listed daily activities for both kids and adults at set times, but during our three-day stay, none of those activities took place. There was also no tiki bar open at the main pool, and while there was live music the evening we arrived, there was nothing offered after that. For the price we paid, we expected much more of a true “resort” experience. Check-in wasn’t until 4 PM, which is fairly standard, but the pool closes at 7:30 PM—leaving very little time to enjoy it after getting settled. The water slides, while fun, don’t open until after 11 AM. There are also no restrooms poolside; the only bathrooms are on the first floor. The women’s restroom was especially disappointing—it was out of soap and toilet paper for two days, even after staff was notified, and it was consistently dirty. We also experienced issues getting pool towels (none available until nearly noon one day), and many of the water spigots meant for rinsing sand off were broken or not working properly. While you do have access to a neighboring sister property, which has a pool open until 10 PM, it’s not very convenient to carry everything over there—especially considerin"

"There was a lack of staff. The restaurants on property were closed or limited due to staffing. Trying to use an elevator was awful. It took a long time to get to your floor or over crowding on them due to the time it took. Walls are so thin you could hear your neighbors or the floor above you. The room smelled like mildew."

"If i'm being 100% honest, for the price, wasnt bad. I was expecting worse. Room was clean and critter free, staff were actively cleaning. I missed the memo about pets being allowed but didnt affect my stay. There were some downsides like some loose panels in the bathroom and one that had a rusty nail behind it. The water pressure is quite low and not very hot. Parking is solid. No issues there. Property is definitely a mixed bag. "

"Having to wait cause room was not ready is ok but 3 hours at no one advise you that is ready unacceptable … and i had my whole family and getting extra pillows and extra blankets was a hassle But room was comfortable for everyone "
