"Definitely needs refurbishing. Old fashioned keys, no room safe, window security very poor and an en-suite had basin that moved as you touched it. Balcony felt dirty and had another room’s outside light shining all night into my room. Some of the electric lights in my room did not work. The swimming pool was good with an amazing view (but seating area around it had little shade) even if noisey from traffic. Pool bar open until 7pm, but bar downstairs then not open. "Two nights stayed at this hotel. Quite convenient place near to the central station (the coach from Catania airport directrly arrives as well). Kind enough to arrange the room in advance after arriving in the early morning. I could hear the loud conversation from the next door first, but it was fine by the afternoon. The bed and shower rooms were cleaned. The message I sent before arrival via Expedia wasn't replied, but the hotel itself was trustworthy. Other hotels in Messina can be found, but...

Tutte le ragazze dello staff sono state sempre molto disponibili e gentilissime, ci hanno fatto sentire proprio a casa! "Was surprised that there was no front desk at this property so no one to ask any questions too. There were things that were missing that I wish there had been someone to ask. The room had no milk in any form for the coffee or tea. The owner was very kind to pick us up from the train station and arranged for us to get back into town when we were ready to pick up our car. The staff was kind, attentive, and efficient.
