"Wow! What a gorgeous hotel! Partial sea view was actually an amazing sea view. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Underground parking. Sidney is so walkable and this hotel is perfect for morning walks along the Salish Sea. My back was sore from hiking and I lay flat on the floor staring out the window and relaxing and not for a millisecond did I even consider that I was laying on a hotel room carpet. It was just so clean. The shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom made my hair feel great. Oh and I loved the heated towel rack in the bathroom and the Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Will definitely book another stay here."
"Beautiful location, lovely room. Comfy beds. Bathrooms clean. It was great.
Very far from the subway and downtown obviously, but worth it for the quiet, cozy town."
"Our family including our cat had a lovely stay in a good-sized villa. The villa we stayed in has gorgeous water views (not all of them have this view), where we could watch the changing sunsets. We saw one of the most intensely coloured sunsets from our villa - just magnificent and nothing we had ever witnessed before.
Jill at the spa was wonderful - after a massage with her, I felt so completely relaxed, like jelly.
The pool and hot tub are really nice. The pool is very warm and the hot tub is also an excellent temperature.
The villa layout is great. The downside is that the villa is not well-maintained. One of the sinks was quite plugged when we got there. One of the curtains was a bit broken, One bathroom light was broken (completely missing and not replaced). Half the windows do not have screens (there are lots of bugs). The beds were comfortable, though, even though all the furniture is dated. Some of the cooking utensils had already melted but we had no choice but to use them.
Please also note that in the villas, there is no housekeeping provided. We arrived (staying 8 nights) with only a third of a roll of paper towel, one extra roll of toilet paper in two of the bathrooms (in one, the existing roll was almost gone), so without housekeeping, we were scared things would run out. There was no sponge to wash dishes. Things normally needed we had to make do without.
There is no air conditioning (open and close blinds at correct times or it gets too hot!)"
"We had a suite with a separate living room and kitchen. There 3 dirty windows looking out over the water, BUT everything else was very clean. There were no paper towels in the kitchen, BUT everything else needed was present. Staff was friendly."

Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Galiano. Holiday rentals provide amenities such as patios, hot tubs and fire pits so you'll have everything you want. If you're concerned about cleanliness, a holiday rental can provide a sense of security away from public hotel lifts and lobbies packed with people while still allowing you the excitement and enjoyment of travel. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is an attractive choice for a family trip or a small group gathering.
