"I stayed here for 3 nights and had no issues during my stay. The room was clean and included a kitchen, which was convenient. I had limited interaction with the staff since I was out exploring most days, but the front desk was always staffed and I felt safe as a solo female traveller. The rooms are a bit dated, but the location and price made up for it. Everything I needed was within walking distance, making it a great option for either a short or longer stay."

"The staff is exceptional, especially the front desk personnel (e.g. Salsa) and the room was extremely clean and well equipped. Breakfast both days was very good. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality."

"The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The English Bay and number of the best restaurants is definitely in favor. The hotel needs to be renovated at least the carpets cleaned. That condition is unfortunate."

"It’s a pretty old hotel in need of a proper renovation. Poor cosmetic fixes does not pass the test. The first thing that should be fixed is that deep pothole in the middle of the driveway that looks like it’s been there for years. I’m lucky that it didn’t damage my vehicle when I hit it. Poor value as far as I see it"

"The room we had looked nothing like the one in the pictures on Expedia. The check in is very odd. An obscure email tells you to be there after 9am and we show up but you cant check in until 3pm. The rooms are old. The ceiling has falling paint and the tub was very rusted. The AC units are disgusting and moldy. I will stick with Marriott next time. Not worth the price"

"Just stayed for one night while in town for a rugby tournament and overall was great value and met our needs. Only real complaint is the pillows were all a bit sad and could use some updating, but otherwise no complaints for what it was for. Staff was lovely and kids loved the pool."

"Staff helped us get checked into our room early, the room was clean and neat, and with the doors closed it was very quiet, even right next to a busy road! Right near a bunch of restaurants, and the downstairs “Joe’s” is also great! Fantastic ocean view! Make sure if you want privacy you check on your door sign, as it’s windy and they tend to blow off the handles easily. Finding a better system for those would be my only suggestion for improvement. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay!"

"We had a renovated room on the first floor (no lift). Room was comfortable & clean. Breakfast was a full continental breakfast, more than the stated pastries. A little bit isolated, but there were food shops across the road. Bus access to Capilano swing bridge park, but taxi reqd for Grouse Mountain. All the free shuttles leave from Canada Place, in downtown."

"The front desk ambassador was exceedingly kind and helped me make a room change when the original booking didn't quite work for me. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I loved the neighborhood too, and proximity to English Bay. I'll be staying there on my next visit!"
