"My mother came to town and we stayed here for a week. The property itself is not bad; not dirty but I think it could use some more TLC. They put us in an upstairs room overlooking the pool, which was nice, but there were a lot of flying bugs in the room and we could not stay there. The staff was able to put us in a similar room without the view of the pool, and it was bug-free. Housekeeping was pleasant and accommodating, and the free breakfast was nice as well. "Arriving in Tucson with 100° temperature you’d expect the Air Conditioner to work. Sadly, I spent a whole day and night with an air conditioner not functioning properly. They sent a maintenance person who diagnosed it with as a broken compressor. They reassigned me to another room and the air conditioner worked well for the remainder two days. They should have a system in place where they test the Air Conditioner before a customer checks into the room."

"Had a horrible experience. We were in the king room with sofa bed. There was a hole in the sofa bed and no sheets or blankets were provided for the sofa bed when we asked for some, front desk said there wasn’t any. TV didn’t work and the smoke alarm kept going off."

"I have never stayed at an Embassy Suite by Hilton before this visit. I was dismayed to learn that the Tucson East location is designed as a motel, not hotel. The difference being the doors to your room lead directly to the outside versus being situated inside the building and leading to a enclosed hallway. They didn’t have another room available and when we checked out the desk clerk said that they were not supposed to rent that room because they knew the AC was not working. I paid for my room in full when I booked it 4 days earlier. No excuse for us being placed in that room"

The property is a 1980’s design, and will need some updating in the years to come, but it’s all very well maintained. About 20 min to UofA if visiting a child.
