"Galaxy Boutique Hotel -A very nice place to stay. A summary: - Pre-arrival contact: We were contacted before our arrival to confirm the booking, etc.; - Parking: the hotel offers free onsite parking for guests. - Check-in: Check-in was very efficient and helpful. - Room readiness: The hotel appears very new. The room was ready and very well presented. The rooms have an amazing view of the mountains and lake from large windows. - Bathroom + toiletries: the bathroom was very clean and the toiletries were very nice; - Storage/cupboards: There was clothes hanging space and drawers. - Tea and coffee making: There was tea and coffee making and a small refrigerator. - Bed: The bed was very nice to sleep in. - Pillows: There were 2 pillows per person. - Locality/restaurants/shops: The location is a short drive to the centre of town. There are many restaurants, shops, cafe's and convenience stores. Hotel dining - the hotel offers breakfast in the dining room or delivered in your room. Highly recommended."

"For a one night stay travelling through New Zealand and needing to break up the journey at certain points this was fine. It’s pretty much a box with private bathroom, bed, Kitchenette. Everything was clean. Your parking space is literally right up against the sliding glass windows to your room so your view is your vehicle. The bed was good enough but a bit old school springs. Great for one night but I wouldn’t want to spend any more than that. Check in was great, helpful and cheerful and gave me a free bottle of milk for tea/coffee. All the staff on the property were friendly and helpful. The town is catering to tourists so it’s loads of day excursion places, tours, chalet style places, a few restaurants. Catering mainly to hikers etc so no frills. It’s obviously all about using town as a base for the incredible scenery."

"We were given a room with handicap bathroom and after washing my hair the water flooded the room completely. We could hear the people walking around the unit upstairs all the time. The interior and exterior is pretty run down. We had no choice to take this room because it was the last minute booking and most places were booked. The only plus point was they did include free cooked breakfast at the Dough cafe next door and you can't fault the location."

"The staff were so helpful and room was spot on. The view of Lake Tekapo was unbelievable and we had a laundry room next door and small kitchen in the room. Places to eat were just down the road with a variety of food available😊"

"Great room 611 , so had a great view facing towards Glacier Alps , any room around this number where have same view so would suggest asking for any of these rooms , close to restraurants , offstreet parking , great value , didnt do breakfast but am sure it was great also."
