Great Old Town stay

Great location and wonderful staff. Breakfasts were very good. Great shower temp and pressure. My room was over the front door and across from the breakfast room, so it was loud. Walls pretty thin too (TV and conversations audible from next door). Aside of unfortunate positioning, great stay.

Centrally located. Nice breakfast and nice helpful staff. (bad in English) However, a lot of noise from outside, traffic and full of tourists late into the night. No cleaning in the room during the whole week. The room lacks ventilation and temperature adjustment. Otherwise completely ok.

Double Booked, Rude Management

We arrived in Gdańsk the first weekend in December. We were called on our way to the hotel to say they had double booked. It was freezing cold we were a family of 6 plus a 3 month old baby. We were standing in the street with no where to go. They told us they had a hotel that was about 20 mins away from the centre that we could stay in for the night. In the traffic it was about 45 mins each way. The reason we booked this hotel was for its location. We had to get 2 taxis to the other hotel, drop our bags off and then 2 taxis back to the centre. We called this hotel first thing the next morning and was told our rooms would not be ready until 2pm, however we could leave all of our bags behind the unmanned reception. We booked a 4 bed apartment but was given 3 separate rooms on different floors. This was our first family holiday altogether with the baby. They eventually gave us a room to store our bags while we went out. They then emailed us to say they had moved all of our bags into another room and because we had sent an email complaining, they thought that it was best if we left the hotel. They said that they had English people before in their hotel that had left a mess and let fire extinguishers off. We were a family of 6 with a baby and they seemed to tie us with the same because we were ‘English’ The staff on the Reception spoke no English so everything was via google translate. The Managers on the phone were rude. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Das Hotel entspricht nicht den Angaben auf der Seite von Expedia. Eine Bar gibt nicht in der Unterkunft. Die Rezeption ist max bis 15 Uhr besetzt von der Dame die die Zimmer putzt und das Frühstück macht.Auch das Frühstück entspricht in keinsterweise dem der Fotos die Auswahl ist minimal im vergelich zu anderen Hozesl in Danzig. Das Zimmer wurde die ganzen 5 Tage nkcht einmal gereinigt bzw Jandtücher getauscht. Selbst nach neuem Toilettenpapier mussten wir fragen. Die zur Verfügung stehenden Toilettenartikel waren billige selbstgekaufte Shampoo und Duschgel von Rossmann in der Original Verpackung. Es gibt keine deutschen Kanäle trotz angegebem Satelliten TV. Die Möbel waren vermakelt und die Gardinenstange wackelte, das man sich nicht traute die Vorhänge zu schließen. Die Damen die sich um das Frühstück kümmerten waren sehr bemüht. Übersetzt wurde mit Google Übersetzung. Leider kann ich diese Unterkunft ni ht empfehlen. Die Bilder und der Text auf der Expedia Seite stimmen in nichts mit der Realität überein.

Geografiska läget var fantastiskt med nära till allt! Hotellet var absolut inte 4 stjärnor! Ingen a/c så oerhört varmt i juli. Mitt kylskåp på rummet fungerade inte. Dock fick man ta grattis vatten i lilla frukostrummer! Det låg en liten bar på gatan utanför rummet så det var lite högljutt i bland. Smutsigt golv! Lilla frukosten var jättebra med pannkakor och omelett på beställning!

In sehr guter Lage. Zimmer war sehr sauber. Fruehstueck auch sehr gut. Nachts einmal laut durch die Bar auf der Strasse.

God komfortabel seng, med et dejligt rummeligt værelse. Internationalt TV. Eneste minus var at vi boede på øverste etage, og der kun er internet i lobbyen. Flink personale med god kommunikation, trods de ikke kunne engelsk

Dåligt hantverk

Bra läge och välstädat. Bodde i en av de större lägenheterna som på ytan såg nyrenoverad ut. Men renoveringen lämnade mycket att önska, det största problemet var att när man duschade på övervåningen fungerade inte golvbrunnen så allt vatten rann istället genom taket till badrummet under. Där fanns även tydliga fuktfläckar och även ”bulor” i taket som visade på tydliga fuktproblem. När vi påtalade de i receptionen bad de oss att inte duscha på övervåningen men att de skulle lägga på lite mer silikon i duschen, som att det skulle hjälpa. Fanns även en jättefin köksö med induktionshäll, den var dock inte inkopplad men i en kökslåda låg en kokplatta man kunde koppla in vid behov 😂 Elsäkerheten lämnade också lite att önska med skarvade sladdar och lampor utan glödlampor dåligt

Mye støy i gangene, trakk gjennom hotellet ut i bakgård til leiligheter på natt. Rommene veldig lite lydisolert, derfor veldig plagsomt med tråkk i trappene til bakgården.

2 star experience

2 star experience for a 3 star price in a 4 star hotel - not recommended. When 'good location' is all you can say in its favour, well ... impossible to park (street parking if you can find any space), miserable breakfast in a hot and airless room, bedroom not cleaned and basic toiletries not replaced, no TV reception, window dressings don't eliminate light, noisy corridors, noisy communal garden out back with constantly barking dog, terrible WiFi connectivity, pointless room themes with shabby decor, civil staff but not particularly friendly - they all look quite apologetic to be honest. Very disappointing.

Séjour à la Villa PicaPaca de Gdansk.

Hôtel très bien situé, mais dans une rue très bruyante. Bistrot à 100 m ouvert de 16h à 6h du matin avec musique très forte. La wifi soit disante gratuite n’a jamais fonctionné et le parking annoncé gratuit est dans la rue. Il n’y a pas de parking réservé pour l’hotel.

The hotel was nice and clean, our room had basic facilities, but it was quite nice. The only drawback (quite big) was the noice. There was second to none soundproofing to the corridor, or outside. Everything happening on the street or the staircase, was heard in the room. Soundproofing between rooms was good, just the door and windows were lacking.
