Love staying there

Had a great room, plenty of space. Comfortable bed, great shower and aircon. Beach was just over a road wich only saw cycles and the odd horse. Great view of the sea while eating breakfast. BUT the smell of the rubbish waiting to be removed from the beach was not great. Not the hotel fault but needs something done about it.

Situated a stones throw from the port, scallywags, with its delightful villas, has all the basic amenities you need for an amazing stay on Gili Air (including conditioner which was hard to come by!). The staff were lovely and we would particularly like to thank Arya for his hospitality and close attention to ensuring we had a great stay. Every night of our stay, there was a delicious BBQ offering local food, including lobster which could be scarce, subject to the fisherman’s catch. The beach is superb with plenty of sun loungers. Unfortunately, the diving centre was closed during our visit but there were plenty of other options on the island. Thanks again to the wonderful staff, we will be back soon! - Kate and Lorenzo

Les photos sont mensongères. Il n’y a pas de piscine. Et la plage en face de l’hôtel est insalubre. Arnaque sur le lieu également: 2 sites de cet hôtel sur l’île : - l’un se situe en bord de mer devant une plage près du port et sale, avec l’ensemble des poubelles de l’île qui sont posées tous les soirs. Donc simple, pour trouver l’hôtel fait suivre les odeurs nauséabondes… - l’autre site est en centre de l’île … juste à côté de la mosquée. Entendez au mieux l’appel à la prière vous y êtes. IMPOSSIBLE d’avoir des vélos. Un coup c’est oui un coup c’est non. Personnel peu disponible et peu serviable. Ça nous change de Bali! Chambres de bord de mer très vieilles et qui ont subi un coup de vieux sans entretien après eux années de Covid. Scandaleusement cher. Je ne comprends pas les bonnes notes des sites de réservation!!!! Sachant que tout est faux. Vive Photoshop! CONSEIL: il y’a vraiment de très très beaux hôtels sur l’île. Donc ne vous trompez pas. Idéalement à privilégier les côtes Est et Ouest qui sont très sympas. Et surtout beaucoup moins insalubres. Ah oui, des surcoûts vous sont facturés alors que sur le site Expédia ce n’est soit pas indiqué, soit pas le tarif annoncé. Vive les touristes pigeons….

Odeur de renfermé dans le logement.Nous avions 2 chambres. La seconde chambre est très limite ne correspond pas à un 4*, il y avait des vers, araignées.... Personnel très agréable. Très bonne situation.

I would like to give this hotel a better rating as the rooms are nice, the staff are good and the breakfast ( which is serves at the beach) is also good. The drawback is that it is located next to the mosque which has call to prater several times a day including sunrise which was 04:40 for us. The prayers are delivered through loud PA systems and last around 1hr

A gem of a place. Staff are fantastic. You have to walk to the beach front for your breakfast less than 10 mins no bother. Free cycles to get around the islsnd. Loved it.

clean place

place is hidden away after you get over the small alleys, but good when your there. great air conditioning, free pool towel, and free sunbed and beach towel next to restaurant. breakfast was great, not sure about their sausages, one was bit pink in middle. great staff The call to prayer at 4:30 from the local mosque was a bit loud first thing in morning when you may like to sleep in after a night out, but i do realize it;s their culture.

Wonderful private villa in this island

Everything is going well,nice villa,nice staff,Amazing welcome drink.there are six bicycles for free.a local mini market nearby,very convenient.Comfortable bed but without mosquito net,but it's okay.we love the pool! and cook ourself!

Good comfortable room & bed . We liked the private open shower which had lots of pressure & hot water. The walk to the breakfast buffet was a 10 minute walk through the village. The buffet had lots of choices for breakfast. The staff handled our service requests with efficiency and a smile. We enjoyed our 2 weeks stay with Scallywags.

Comfortable stay.

The decor of the room and the garden area is great. The staff is friendly and Gili Air Island is a great place with plenty of water sports etc and leisure activities. Beach front clubs are ideally located. However, the rooms were in the interior of the island and almost 15 minutes' walk away, The approach to the rooms was not great.
