"Dalmunzie is a quiet country retreat which is great for a romantic getaway. The country side around the property is beautiful with sheep and goats. Good golf course. There is a narrow old staircase. So you need to be able to carry your own luggage upstairs. Great food and wonderful breakfast. Great location to visit Balmoral Castle and the Glenshee ski fields in winter. "

Located near Braemar and all the area has to offer outdoor enthusiasts, the hostel offers a quiet and clean stay with use of the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and warm. "The bathroom was clean, and the bed sheets were clean, with a lovely smell even in the morning. Heating was on all night, so it wasn't cold in the morning, and after skiing at Glenshee, that warmth was lovely. The fireplace downstairs was so good, and we had a nice chat and watched TV. Great breakfast, and we also had dinner. I got lovely lasagna. The breakfast room looks lovely with a lot of paintings. Books are around, and a lot of small details.
