"Simply superb! This traditional B&B, for me, was perfect. Louise met me at the door with a warm smile and showed me to my, quaint, comfortable room. The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple. "The staff were lovely with nothing too much trouble. The food was superb in an amazing dining room with proper tablecloths and napkins ! This is a wonderful 800 year old castle with no lift so, if you have walking difficulties, ask for a room on the first floor. The public rooms are magnificent but the bedrooms, while perfectly comfortable, would benefit from being brought up to date. Anyway, all in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we shall be sure to return. "
