"A friend of mine & I brought our girls here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had a suite so the girls could have a girls' night, using the pool & hot tub which they loved, & then spent the rest of the time hanging in the room & playing games etc. The pool was the perfect temp - not too cold. The next morning, my friend took her girls down to breakfast at about 9:30, while my daughter & I stayed in the room. About 5-10 minutes later, the door opened & I walked around the corner to see if they needed help. However, it was not our friends entering the room, it was housekeeping. No knock, no announcement, nothing. When the woman saw me, she said she was coming to see if we needed towels or trash taken out. She did not have towels in her hand & this was an hour & 1/2 before checkout. Since when does housekeeping come to doors asking if you need towels? Usually you call them & they come knock on your door, announce themselves & have towels in hand. What if everyone had left while I was in the shower, so the safety bar lock wasn't able to be put on, or I had walked out in a towel thinking I was alone in the room? In this case my child was with me, so she would've been alone if I was showering, while a stranger just walked right in. It was very odd to say the least & I reported it to the front desk at checkout. The room & facilities were nice, just beware & take your personal belongings with you when leaving the room & keep the bar lock on at all times."
"My first and last time using LivAway Suites. While the staff were pleasant and accommodating, it still did not take away from a disturbingly dirty room (excessive human hairs all over the room and stained floors. I had to pack up and move to a new room); inoperable elevator (had to walk up 4 flights of stairs in heels, with bag of food and two giant water bottles after a loved one’s funeral); and was told by staff that irons are not provided so I drove to the nearest Walmart and bought a steamer only to learn from the manager that irons are indeed available and provided when requested.
This was an awful first impression which I shared with the manager and with Kendal at corporate customer support. I will not be back.

"Great hotel! Very clean and updated with full buffet style breakfast included in your stay. Parking was free and location between downtown and airport was perfect for us. Front staff were nice and engaging. We were there for a short trip to catch the basketball game. I would return again!"
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Syracuse North - Cicero by IHG
8/10 Good
"Didn't use the pool. We were up early at 07:30 today given we checked in late 01:30 am because of a delayed flight from JFK to Syracuse and some miscommunication around the shuttle pickup location. Got resolved and so nice to get picked up by the hotel shuttle and be given a later checkout time by night manager which we didn't use but nice it was offered all the same.
Have stayed at this hotel a few times before as it is a park sleep and fly hotel too. Always a good stay! Staff always friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. On time airport shuttles! They always have some breakfast food and fresh coffee even when you take the early morning shuttle to the airport and before the breakfast room opens at 6 am. Cracker barrel restaurant next door for dinner the night before. Easy walk to it. Fridge and microwave if you want to bring food of your own. And Keurig coffee machine in the room.
Would recommend this hotel for a good stay altho currently renovatiions of the breakfast room and some first floor rooms..Earplugs available from the hotel."
