The shower was a bit small even for us (I'm five feet tall), but it was clean and stocked with toiletries. Our room was ready when we checked in, which was fantastic because we could change, rest, and freshen up right away. "Quiet place at Earl's Court. Easy walking distance to restaurants, etc. Room was comfortable but super small - especially the shower - but that's London for you. My only significant complaint is that all four pillows were quite thick & very hard. I asked about getting a thinner / softer pillow but no luck. Unfortunately it affected my sleep to the point that I would not stay again (silly but true - not everyone likes thick hard pillows)."

"The reason I gave it a bad rating was there IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was 82 degrees in our room. They gave us a fan but all it did was blow hot air. It was 95 degrees outside. I realize this was an unusually hot week but that was not acceptable for me. Kuddos for the staff for understanding and refunding the remainder of my stay. Beautiful hotel and view."

"Staff were very helpful especially on the front desk. Room was clean. The health club is separate to the hotel but access is granted by swapping your room key for a gym fob. The chrome cast in our room didn’t work, the staff offered to switch our rooms, but we’d just asked for the twin beds to be made into 2 singles, so remained for the convenience. "We had a delightful one night stay at the Rubens, centrally located right across from Buckingham Palace’s Royal Mews or stables. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the breakfast was served in a gorgeous room with booths and chandeliers. We were traveling with our teen son so the suite with a pull out couch made it a high value fit for us so we could stay in one room. The room decoration was festive and royal feeling. The sweet baked goods were a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay here...
