"They're having work done so amenities listed on the site aren't actually open. No bar, no restaurant and it's a bit isolated, you need to be able to drive somewhere for food. Skeleton staff. The management need to employ an appropriate number of staff. Reception often isnt manned with a notice up and during breakfast, the one staff member is serving people and doing reception which is in a completely different place. My room was run down with a constantly running tap. Definitely wouldn't stay here again. Hopefully it'll improve when the refurb is finished. The listing should be sognificantly updated and make it clear what is actually available on site. I'd not have booked if I knew I couldn't get food. Due to disability, I have to plan my energy carefully and this knocked me significantly."

"Beautiful hotel and grounds. Clean, airy amd very tasteful deco and high quality throughout. Peacful and relaxing vibe. Pool, sauna etc great as well. Lovely walk as well around the grounds and river. Will be back."

"Highlights are the centre-of-town location, the restaurant/breakfast room and lovely character of the hotel. Staff were friendly and room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was good, ours being cooked-to-order but the buffet ‘full-English’ was less appealing (bacon not replenished and fried eggs that looked like they had been standing for some time - the latter should be cooked fresh to order). Decor in places (corridors especially) due for a refresh and the outlook of our first-floor room was into a ‘well’ facing other rooms’ windows. Overall a pleasant one-night stay and walkable to the City hospital."

"It’s in the right part of Cheltenham. Close enough to Montpellier, but not so close it’s outside. 20 minute walk from Cheltenham Spa train station, or catch a cab."
