This is in principle a very lovely lakeside hotel at the end of a long road. The location is very pretty, and the hotel stylish and with great breakfast and restaurant (and the 2* Michelin Signum as neighbour!). Also a great sauna/spa section.The staff are very friendly, and proud of the hotel. I can't give full points though due to two minus points: 1) a bad smell outdoors due to some on-site water treatment(?) facility, and 2) a confusing web site. For example, they are currently serving Xmas buffet as the only evening meal, but I couldn't find the price anywhere, and instead it looks as though a-la carte is available.

The area around the hotel is beautiful, located next to a sea in a Forrest. But close enough to a small town. The Personal was super friendly and the small spa area with two tubs and a sauna is cozy.

Secluded and cozy

Lovely place in a great location. Sure there’s a bit of noise from the highway and the railway track but nothing that takes away the charm of the view of the lake and splendid forrest around. Rooms are tight but cozy. Staff is perfect!

Remote, but nice place if you want to explore the countryside and lake. Very nice property. Staff was helpful, but often difficult to find. For the first three hours of our checkin there was some extremely loud and heavy machine construction right outside our room and the workers could look into our window. We were excited that there was sauna on the property, but were told on checkin that it would be an additional 250 SEK (about $25) per person, which is not worth it. We had an early departure to catch a flight at the Goteborg airport, so the staff were very kind to make a take-away breakfast the night before.

Det är en byggarbetsplats! Lerigt, rörigt och taxins väg blockerades av transport till bygget. Det är andra gången som detta sker. När jag kom sent på kvällen var det svårt att hitta till rummet då allt var nedsläckt. Därtill var rummet iskallt. Bodde även i ett rum där det kändes som att tåget åkte rakt igenom rummet. Ingen god nattsömn alls! Kommer inte bo här igen så länge som det är så rörigt!

Hällsnäs erbjuder en vacker miljö precis vid vattnet och ett förstklassigt välkomnande av trevlig personal. Möjligheten att bada i sjön och relaxa i bastubyggnaden precis vid vattenlinjen erbjuder ett extra plus. Till det negativa hör att jag saknade en arbetsplats på rummet, ett skåp att hänga in kläder i och att underhållet av det vackra området är lite eftersatt. Med lite extra omsorg i form av ogräsrens, klippning av förvuxna växter och ett utbyte av spruckna och skeva trädgårdsplattor på området skulle intrycket höjas betydligt.

Traumhafte Aussicht direkt am See

Kleines Hotel direkt am See außerhalb der Ortschaft. Von der Terrasse traumhafter Blick über den See (Kayakverleih vorhanden). Gemütliche Bar sowie „Spielzimmer“ mit Schuffleboard und Billiard. Auf Grund unserer späten Ankunft und frühen Abreise konnten wir Restaurant und Frühstück leider nicht testen- das holen wir aber bestimmt nächstes Jahr nach. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. P.s. Auf der direkt hinter dem Haus gelegenen Bahnstrecke fuhr in der Nacht unseres Aufenthalts kein einziger Zug. Die Autobahn hinter dem Wald auf der anderen Seeseite war zwar zu hören- aber nur im Hintergrund.

Tolles Hotel in ruhiger Lage am See. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffett. Abendessen ebenfalls sehr lecker. Eine unbedingte Weiterempfehlung. Haben 2x dort übernachtet.
