"We arrived quite late to check in for our room, but the check-in process was smooth. The young gentleman who was on reception was extremely helpful and gave us lots of information about Alicante and provided us with a map with useful tips of places to eat and drink. He also informed us that we could extend our room on the last day if we needed a late checkout. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The small terrace area outside our room was lovely to sit on in the evening. When it came to the date of our checkout I went to reception and spoke to a member of staff who explained that if we required our room until 6 pm we would be charged for an entire night stay which we were not told on our arrival I asked if there were showers. We could use later in the evening and the gentleman told me there was but upon returning to the hotel another gentleman on reception didn’t speak much English and did not understand the require requirement for a shower. We found out that there was no shower area and no towels to enable us to have a shower before we left the hotel. This is the only disappointing thing I found San Juan is a lovely area. The beach is beautiful and the walk down past the beach is lovely in the evening."

"I didn’t like that I couldn’t use the pool, you have to reserve ahead of time. Time slot was limited. Everyone at the reception and the restaurant was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good."

"We regularly have an overnight stop at this hotel when flying in to or out of uk. It is short distance from airport and has free parking. Have never had a complaint. Fab decor, comfy beds, great en-suites, spotlessly clean. staff always polite and professional. Excellent prices for hotel restaurant so no need to go off site but lots of other places on your doorstep."

"Nice hotel but the breakfast is chaotic. Cold fried eggs daily. I would find an outside cafe GeForce breakfast Meliá, why do you have a piano in the main area that is locked 24 hours a day? I wanted to play it but nobody had a key! Parking is next door and to say it is a tight park is putting it mildly It was no more than an okay stay and I would think twice about staying there should I return to Alicante. I did like Alicante though!"

"Clean hotel, friendly staff, lovely outdoor pool. About a 10 minute walk to the old town. Good size bedroom with balcony. Only quibble is shower (in bath) did not have a screen or shower curtain so water did splash out onto the floor."

"Straight path to beach and centre of Alicante. 15 minute easy walk. 15 mins drive from airport. Very clean hotel. Only stayed one night so didn't use hotel facilities or breakfast. 3 adults and child in one room. Very large king double bed and double sofa bed. Tea, coffee making facilities in room. Would recommend."
