"We were in an ocean front loft with a beautiful direct ocean view. The room was clean, with a well equipped kitchen and large refrigerator. The hotel has a great location with a beach on each side of it. The Sunset Cafe had friendly service and good food. The rooftop pool and bar provided outstanding views. Highly recommend! "

"This hotel was really disappointing. Besides being conveniently located near Maho Beach (to watch and experience the plane jet blast & landing), the Casino and restaurants, it really isn't worth the price paid. *The bathroom walls are grimy and not cleaned properly. *There was construction going on outside our balcony *Thank God for Cedric at the front desk that helped us with a room change. The lady that checked us in wasn't very accommodating at all. The staff was clueless about anything we asked about, and obviously were not doing anything out of their scope of work. *We saw a roach while waiting on our omelets run across the omelet station, and NONE of the staff were alarmed. In fact one of the staff members said due to everything being in the open, it's expected. That was it for me. I refused to eat anything else at the hotel. The food was subpar at most in any event. *We paid extra for dinner at Azul and it was amazing. The menu was limited, but the food was delicious and the ambiance was top tier. I feel slighted because I definitely didn't get value for my money. Upon check out I finally spoke with a Manager named Govanni (I think was his name) after two previous failed attempts. He was apologetic, but not at all surprised by my complaints. The roach at the buffet didn't surprise anyone I mentioned it to. That speaks volumes and that tells me that it's normalized at this resort. First and last time booking this hotel."

"This was our first visiting to St. Martin. We stayed over in Simpson Bay the first week and at Oyster Bay the last 4 days of our trip. You will need a car, it's in a very remote area on the East Coast (Atlantic side). The Seaweed is an issue, the smell was aweful and not really able to enjoy the beach. The staff is friendly, but is in no hurry. We waited for over an 1 hour for breakfast each morning and a few times, we witnessed guest walk out of the restaurant because their dinners to over an hour and a half to be served. There are plenty of great restaurants all over the island, I recommend eating elsewhere. The resort itself was fine, lots of time-share selling going on (which we managed to avoid), I wouldn't stay here again simply because of the location (seaweed) and staff was OK - I will say this, one young man named Nelson was very nice, pleasant to talk to and went out of his way to help us with what ever we needed or had a question. He get's 5 stars, the resort and other staff get 3."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Simpson Bay Resort, Marina & Spa! The location was perfect, the views were beautiful, and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed relaxing by the beach and pool, and everything we needed was close by. The atmosphere was fun, peaceful, and exactly what we needed for a vacation. We’re already talking about coming back again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting St. Martin!"
