Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
At first the hotel seemed great— friendly staff, it looked clean, and the room didn’t have that familiar “old” smell.
Then things started going south. There was a very obvious blood stain in the grout in front of the toilet. We had an “Accessible” room. However, when the shower was on, the entire bathroom flooded with an inch of water after only 5 minutes. There is a “barrier” to keep the water in, but there is a significant gap between the barrier and the edge of the shower. We could have easily fallen in this “Accessible” room.
We also had a lot of issues with our keycards. At one point, the front desk attendant worked on our door and keycards for 20 or so minutes. We still had issues with our door. We were going to be out late, so I asked the attendant, now a different person, to make sure we could get in. I was given a “master key” to the room, and was asked not to tell anyone. My ID/room information was not verified, I was just given the key. I did not feel very safe after that point.
Also, I found my rates were not the best. The hotel was booking rooms through Google for $40 fewer dollars/night the day before. We were unable to cancel and rebook due to the refund policy.
The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is near lots of restaurants and coffee shops, and the mall is right down the road.
Despite its location, we will not be staying at this property again.
