"We have always loved the Amway. Rooms have become dated and need some work!"

"Everything was clean and pleasant however the room entry door lock was sticking and every time we came and went, it was a struggle to get the door open. The deadbolt was sticking and the only way to enter or exit was to push the door handle down with all your strength. Even then sometimes it would not give. I shudder to think if there was an emergency. Also, the restaurant was not open for Sunday breakfast. That was odd. "

"This place had parties going in the rooms on my floor all weekend. Saturday night was unacceptable. I talked with the front desk twice and had to walk down once. Things started getting quiet after midnight, hours after bringing this to the attention of the front desk staff. Double Trees were different once. I will never stay at this Grand Rapids again. "

"Went for a girls weekend. Check in went smoothly. The rooms were nicer than I expected. The hotel was in a really nice central location and the breakfast buffet was awesome!"

"The room was very clean and had all of the amenities you would need for a longer stay. My son is autistic so this is helpful as he is picky about what he eats and has specialized foods. There was an apartment sized fridge to fit all of the things we needed. The dishwasher was very nice as well. The staff at check in was very nice and helpful as far as where to go and eat and how to get around to the places we were visiting. The night staff was not so friendly and seemed to be bothered by even the smallest questions. For the most part though they were very friendly. be aware that there is a $33/day parking fee that is not included in the price here. It is extra. They also charge a $120 holding fee for incidentals that you get back if you dont charge anything to the room . Just for a heads up. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of different choices. definitley a plus. It is also close to just about everything so you can walk to van angel and GLC with no problem at all. Overall We really enjoyed our stay and will be staying again. "

"The public areas were clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub area were clean, but not did not overwhelm with chlorine smell, as so many hotel pool areas often do. The room was clean and staff were very friendly."
