Charming property with a congenial proprietor and a friendly competent staff. Perfect spot to spend a few days enjoying quaint Graskop and exploring the beautiful Blyde River Canyon/Drakensberg Mountain areas.
The guesthouse has its own parking under canopy and is gated. Our room was a separate lodge in the grounds. Breakfast was cooked to order with a wide range of cold options too. Great wi-fi and TV provided.
Beautiful B&B. Everything is so well taken care of! Even small details such as providing toiletries.
Gorgeous garden where you can enjoy a drink from an honesty bar.
Delicious and copious breakfast.
Highly recommended!
A big house that is used as a B+B. We stayed in the room located in the garden area. The property is very clean and well appointed and the owner Gastof is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the property was not adequately heated when we stayed there in winter and it was cold in or room overnight feeling a little damp.

Ideal Stay for Exploring the Panorama Route
Nestled in the heart of Graskop, Westlodge offers an ideal base for those eager to explore the breathtaking Panorama Route. While not a luxury establishment, it provides excellent value for money, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.
The hosts are warm and attentive, always ready to offer helpful tips and assistance. The lodge itself exudes a charming, homey vibe, with cozy rooms and inviting common areas. One of its highlights is the adorable garden, perfect for a peaceful morning coffee or an evening of relaxation.
Moreover, Westlodge's location is convenient, with several delightful restaurants just a short drive away. For travelers seeking a blend of comfort, charm, and convenience, Westlodge at Graskop stands out as an excellent choice.
This was out 3rd stay at Westlodge: 2014, 2019 and 2024. We keep coming back due to its quality. It's obviously under new management since our last visit.
We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts.
Breakfast was lovely and of good quality.
If I could give 4.5 I would. I just feel the standard has slipped since our last visit. Our room was lovely but in need of some minor maintenance. I chose this place because they offered dinner on our 2 previous occasions. Unfortunately this is no longer the case so you need to drive or walk into town for the evening meal. While this was slightly disappointing it did provide us with the opportunity to try the local restaurants, which we did. Some may be put off walking 1300m in the dark.
Overall however I still believe Westlodge provides a high quality product which I have no hesitation in recommending.
Very cozy and clean room. The owner personally went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The landscaping is a treat and the breakfast was delicious and customized per our request as vegetarians. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower which was not strong enough for our liking.
Booked last minute based on other review scores - very glad I did. From the moment I crossed the threshold to the moment I left I had a great time with food that was out of the world. Next time I’m in this part of the world I will bok it again. Thank you all for your hospitality’m

Struttura molto carina, stile vittoriano. Camere spaziose, personale top pronti a dispensare consigli e a far sentire a casa.
