"Staff were nice. However Room cleanliness wasnt great, i did request another room but they were unable to change us over as we hadnt booked direct - so jad to settle with a room full of cobwebs and very stained carpet. Also the room was far too warm. The first morning we ordered breakfast and it didn't arrive despite us reminding staff numerous times. Eventually gave up and had to leave as we had appointments to to to but for 18.50£ persom not good. Still waiting on refund for this. The other mornings it was grand, although i think my complaint earlier may have had somwthing to do with that. The staff in the Spa were lovely and knowledgeable. Although the spa could do with retiling in places. I wouldnt class this hotel as a 4* hotel more like a 3*. Overall the stay was Ok. They just need to work on their cleanliness and the breakfast service could do with being a little quicker."

"We went for the "privilage" room, the best option they have cause it came with a walk in shower. That was a must as my partner has an injury. We stayed 2 nights, the room was so basic, very similar to the Premier Inn just slightly bigger. So bad points, there was a 1 inch gap still there when you close the window, so it was pointless closing it. You could hear the traffic on the motorway and the wind was still blowing through. As we walked out into a courtyard area, my partner slipped and fell on the floor because it was so slippery. They mopped the outside tiling floor and didn't display wet floor signs. It looks good from the outside but the inside was very basic and you pay way more than its worth."

"They have multiple buildings on the property. We had 2 rooms, not in the same building. Both were excellent, but one was superior and also had a washer/dryer. They were the same price, but room 30, was much more convenient, than the rooms in the 40’s. Longer walk and up a tight stairwell. Besides that, both rooms were great. Very spacious and convenient. Restaurant was full and no other dining options close by, so that was unfortunate. Our fault for booking last miniute though."

"Excellent staff, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient-particularly the reception staff. We were very fortunate to be given an upgrade-very exciting! This meant a canal view room which was lovely, much quieter than the front of the building. The hotel appears to be undergoing a programme of refurbishment and the dining room is much improved. Unfortunately the same could not be said of the breakfast. It was disappointing that there was only sliced bread available. The slices of cheese were hard and curled and looked most unappetising. The hotel is set in lovely surroundings and the walk along the canal into Skipton is a pretty one, where we saw jumping lambs, ducks, geese, swans and an otter. We always enjoy our stays here."
