"I was absolutely over the moon with this hotel. Don't listen to the negative reviews. It was an absolute delight. Anil and the Nepalese manager (didn't catch the name) were so pleasant and they were friendly, helpful and great at their job! And the cleaner with the red hair was top notch!
I had a quadruple room for 3 people for 2 nights and it was HUGE. It was one of the biggest rooms I've stayed in. I was so impressed that the ironing board, iron, hairdryer, extra blankets and extra pillows were already in the room. Absolutely loved the wooden wardrobes and drawers.
There is an old style vintage look to the hotel. It's not modern, but it's not supposed to be, so don't expect it (like the reviews) for it to be a 5*. There is a marble staircase and on the floor above, there is a really unique roof with a beautiful chandelier. And the hotel key was a gold bar - so impressive! THE VIEWS OF THE LAKE ARE STUNNING. It was so peaceful. The hotel even had darts to play!
First day of breakfast buffet got told since there is less than 15 people today, there won't be a breakfast buffet so we would need to order what we would like. I found this a bit disappointing at first, but actually worked out really well, the cooked breakfast by the chef was EXCELLENT. The teas, coffees, pastries, juice, cereal, all unlimited. The second day, had the hot breakfast buffet and was wonderful. They also had vegi sausages upon request- bonus!
100% coming back again. Great value for money."
