"I was absolutely over the moon with this hotel. Don't listen to the negative reviews. It was an absolute delight. Anil and the Nepalese manager (didn't catch the name) were so pleasant and they were friendly, helpful and great at their job! And the cleaner with the red hair was top notch! I had a quadruple room for 3 people for 2 nights and it was HUGE. It was one of the biggest rooms I've stayed in. I was so impressed that the ironing board, iron, hairdryer, extra blankets and extra pillows were already in the room. Absolutely loved the wooden wardrobes and drawers. There is an old style vintage look to the hotel. It's not modern, but it's not supposed to be, so don't expect it (like the reviews) for it to be a 5*. There is a marble staircase and on the floor above, there is a really unique roof with a beautiful chandelier. And the hotel key was a gold bar - so impressive! THE VIEWS OF THE LAKE ARE STUNNING. It was so peaceful. The hotel even had darts to play! First day of breakfast buffet got told since there is less than 15 people today, there won't be a breakfast buffet so we would need to order what we would like. I found this a bit disappointing at first, but actually worked out really well, the cooked breakfast by the chef was EXCELLENT. The teas, coffees, pastries, juice, cereal, all unlimited. The second day, had the hot breakfast buffet and was wonderful. They also had vegi sausages upon request- bonus! 100% coming back again. Great value for money."

"Comfortable room and stay. Leisure facilitates were good. Great sized pool. Main house was beautiful and staff helpful. There appeared to be a lack of signage where the reception was etc. Breakfast was amazing and good value."

"Just what we expected"

"I’ve stayed here 3 times before. The staff are excellent everytime. For some reason everytime I come I get the loudest rooms looking onto walls or roofs, whereas people I’m travelling with get balconies & views onto the courtyard. On this particular stay my room was next to a huge machine that was left on all night. It was incredibly loud & was hard to fall asleep. (To be fair I didn’t mention this to them at the time as it was 11pm & I had an early wake up the next day, so i’m unsure if they could have moved me or not.) On previous stays I’ve woken up at 7.30am to the noise of pickleball being played loudly in the sports hall. This last stay would potentially put me off coming back. It wasn’t a one off so I don’t think I’d want to take the risk again."

"Hotel was good value for an overnight stay. However the premises are tired and in need of a refurbish. The bar and restaurant were understaffed and the poor staff who were working were under too much pressure consequently drinks didn’t arrive and when they did they were wrong and we had to go to the bar ourselves to rectify it. The understaffing made for a long wait between our starters and main course and we were then overcharged. Breakfast was okay."
