The hotel itself was fine, check-in was smooth, and the rooms were spacious and good for the price. However, our experience at the bar was disappointing. Although the hotel was very busy that weekend and I understood staff may have been catching up or restocking, the bar was nearly empty at the time we sat down. Despite that, we waited approximately 35–45 minutes without being served.
The bartender appeared distracted and had to be redirected by another staff member to focus on guests. What ultimately concerned me was observing him pour the remainder of a drink from a shaker into a separate glass and sip it behind the bar while we were still waiting for service. When he finally acknowledged us, he seemed to have forgotten we were there, and the interaction that followed felt less than professional.
We also reached out regarding multiple pending card authorizations. While we understand these holds are standard practice, the communication style during that interaction left us feeling frustrated rather than clarified.
With improved communication and more attentive service, this could easily be a much better experience.
