"Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help."

Richard is a right bloke, would loved to have stayed up talking to him at the bar but after walking the local fells went to relax in the brilliant room. "Nice room (39) comfy bed, old-fashioned but beautiful armoire and dressing table. Coal effect fire, but central heating was excellent so didn't need it. Fitted bathroom with underfloor heating was really cosy. Really clean. Good breakfast and bar food was excellent . Highly recommended "
