"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. It took us until 945 pm before we were able to get a far from desirable accommodations. We were preparing to sleep in our car by that time. We have yet to receive a refund or response. There...
"We loved our stay at Nayari Villas! The villa was beautiful, even better than the pictures. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool. We had a beautiful view of the Arenal volcano. After a couple of days of travelling, I was happy to be able to do some laundry. The rooms were nice and we enjoyed the extra blankets since we like sleeping with heavy blankets. The beds were a bit firm (we prefer extra soft mattresses), but we still slept very well. We used the kitchen to make a homemade meal one...
"This was a wonderful first stop on our vacation as is it was midway betweeen San Jose and La Fortuna. We stayed in the family villa for 2 nights and found it to be spacious with beautifully landscaped grounds. The local waterfalls were easily accessible and we could walk to local restaurants. It was a highlight of our trip!"

"All of the hotel staff were very nice. The restaurant food was amazing. The hotel was within walking distance to other restaurants and shopping, which made exploring the city easy. "
"We stayed at the hotel for one night as we were going to the airport next morning. It was close to the airport and had a shuttle. The drivers were friendly and very helpful. The front desk lady was very pleasant.
Our room was very modern, clean and the beds were very comfortable."
"Husband and I had a pleasant stay at chachagua. We arrived late at night and was greeted at the front desk with hand towels and fruit juice. Checking in was smooth and we were escorted to our bungalow (make sure to have a high car as you will drive through a low river).
Bungalow was private and very clean. The room was cleaned daily and there was eco friendly hair products and toiletries. Room has a mini fridge, coffee maker and fresh water daily.
Continental breakfast was amazing - at a restaurant on premises. Great selection!
The springs were great- wasn’t a lot of people and we were able to enjoy it solo.
The resort was beautiful and tranquil. You can hear the animals throughout the day esp the monkeys in the morning. We didnt get to see the monkey but we did see a sloth up in the tree- thanks to Ruben (who btw gave a great coffee/ chocolate tour).
Big thank you to all the staff members- from the gentleman who greets you when entering, front desk staff, house keeping, and restaurant waiters/waitresses. All very pleasant and super helpful when we had any questions or concerns.
Pura Vida. :)

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Frequent shuttle service. Super convenient for SJO. Breakfast basic but ok, staff very attentive. Overall excellent value."
"Very comfortabe, eclectic ambiance and the staff is lovely! I stayed overnight to be close to the airport and it was perfect. Only an 8 minute taxi ride. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was delicious (eggs with spinach, tomatoes & onion) & fresh. Lots of shopping and restaurants choices all in walking distance as well as a beautiful park in the town center a few blocks away. Great place to sit and feed the pigeons! I can highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again."

Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Guadalupe. Holiday rentals feature extras such as hot tubs, fire pits and patios so you'll have all the conveniences of home. If you're concerned about a clean environment, holiday rentals can provide a sense of safety away from public hotel lifts and busy front desks while still allowing you the excitement and enjoyment of travel.
