"I had a great overall stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica and would definitely return. The property was beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. I loved the variety of restaurants, and the Guest Services team was phenomenal in helping me secure restaurant reservations throughout my stay.
I stayed for my birthday, so I was disappointed that the hotel itself did not acknowledge it, especially since they knew I was traveling specifically to celebrate. Guesto Restaurant did make my birthday very special, which I truly appreciated. I also purchased a birthday package, but the balloons I selected were unavailable and had to be substituted.
My biggest disappointment was Nexus, the onsite company handling transportation and excursions. I waited about two hours at the airport because they were waiting for other guests, even though I saw people who arrived after me leave before me. My excursion driver was also nearly 30 minutes late due to a communication issue regarding my pickup time. Most concerning, Nexus had no record of my prepaid private airport transportation when it was time to leave. I had to prove the booking and arrange everything again about an hour before my flight, which was extremely stressful.
Overall, I loved the resort and would absolutely stay again. However, I would arrange my own transportation and excursions rather than use Nexus."
