Generally the stay was OK. A little further away from the main tourist area than expected. Initially you have to take the funicular up to check in. If you are in town after 9:30 p.m. then you need to either walk up the steep hill or catch a taxi to the entrance. If you need to go down into town before 9:30 a.m, when the funiculus starts, then once again you need to walk down the hill. Just be aware of this before booking.

Guanajuato City trip

We had a great stay and the only issue was that we had a delay in getting hot water but the hotel was able to offer us another room for us to use. The property is right next to the Pipila statue and use of the funicular was complimentary with our reservation so that was a plus! The view was amazing from our balcony and totally recommend this property! We had a great experience and overall cleanliness of the room and hotel was great!

Overall this place is a pleasant place to stay with lots of benefits. The biggest benefit is having VIP access to the funicular. Rooms were kept tidy daily and staff was friendly. Location is perfect, with lots of places nearby to see and dine in.

Good place to stay in Guanajuato

Good hotel at TOP of Funicular. A bit hard to find if arriving by car. Parking is the Monumento de Pipila parking - quite inexpensive. If you like staying out later than 9pm, then get ready to walk up the funicular (not an issue for us). Bring earplugs as hotel is in a public area and can be somewhat noisy.

Beautiful hotel and area. My only concern is I paid for the room with the hot tub and the water didn’t come out. I kept telling the clerk if they could help with this. The clerk said that’s how it is and it’ll come out eventually. It never came out, it’s not worth paying extra for the room with the hot tub.

It is in a spectacular location with a great view. The downtown area is only a short train/tram ride away which you get unlimited rides on for staying at the hotel. The staff were all very nice.

Significant Noise

we had Significant Noise at night until 3am due to something event at Pipila hill. we couldn’t sleep. since pass for cable car was very useful and valuable, I was disappointed about the noise.

Perfect view of Guanajuato City! Just go up some stairs and you’re at the Pipila monument where you can also find food stands, souvenir stands, etc. Perfect when you’re craving a night snack. I believe the latest they’re there is 10p. With your stay at this hotel, you get unlimited rides on the Funiclar. They also have coffee at your disposal anytime at the lobby.
