"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

"For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds. "

We had an upper floor room (#9) right next to a tree that regularly had birds and howler monkeys coming through. Very peaceful. Spacious room. The food and drinks are at US resort-level prices, and there are no other places to eat within a 15-minute walk, so plan accordingly. "I love to stay at this hotel when I need, for work or leisure, it is well kept and comfortable. The staff is amazing & restaurant on site Le Estelle is very good. Five star service for the staff and full of details in their large bedrooms, which also have an outdoor area. The pool is a big plus. Very competitive pricing for Nosara. "

"Extremely secure and secluded. Villa to villa distance is quite far and we could not see or hear anyone else. Grounds are very large, beach is pretty much private but you should know it’s a bit of a walk from some of the villas around to the restaurant and beach. Private pool was very nice and overall good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and very easy to communicate with, 10/10 for the staff! "
