"Wat Hotel in Takayama is excellent. Location is good, walking distance to Sanmachi Suji famous street, the red bridge and various other locations in the town. The property itself is fantastic, with a welcoming area where you get a free drink (beer included) per person when you check-in, very nice rooftop area. The rooms are amazing (we got a superior twin whose size was bigger than US-based hotels -- it was huge). Breakfast was fantastic. Parking was provided at 800 yen right there are the property. That said we went in early July so it wasn't crowded, I would imagine that busier travel periods may be different since the main parking lot fits perhaps 40 or so verhicles. Definitely recommend."
"Very close to the station and easy access to the bus station. It’s also easily walkable to the downtown and stores. Room is clean, and it has a washer and dryer. I just hoped the rooms connected to each other or could accommodate more than 2 people per room since there’s plenty of space in the bed. This way we won’t feel so disconnected and distant to our kids traveling with us."
"The whole experience was wonderful. The location of the property is very close to the train and bus station. The walk streets are very close as well. The staff is fantastic , knowledgeable and very kind.
Foid was delicious. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could stay more.
We will be back:)"
"Amazing modern hotel - very close to Takayama station. The mixed thermal baths on the top floor had great views - it was so lovely to be able to use them as you had to wear swimsuits. If you wanted to bathe naked then there were single sex baths you could use."
