"Great location, beautifully decorated room and good quality bedding, towels, toiletries etc. However .. our room (9) was TINY .. the gap on one side of the bed was approx 8 inches between the bed and the wall so very difficult to navigate safely particularly at night without stubbing your toe on the one side or bumping into to door handle on the other. There was no where to put a suitcase to unpack other than on the bed or the floor which was difficult for us. The en-suite was tastefully...

"The staff at this hotel are way above what you normally encounter. What an absolute delight. Whoever trains their people deserves a star as consistently high standards are notoriously hard to achieve. I also like the location which is lovely and tranquil with pretty great views. The food and drink choice should also be commended. I stay daily regularly around the area for work and now I’ve found this gem, will definitely stay again."

"A fabulous place to stay. We were greeted with a very welcoming pot of coffee after a long journey. We were told of things to do, places to eat but as we were going to a wedding the day after we couldn't do any walking. The room was clean and the bed so comfortable and lovely toiletries were in the bathroom. The breakfast the following morning was incredible, better than a lot of smart hotels we have stayed in. I would highly recommend Mill Lodge."

"Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. Staff were friendly and accommodating at all times."

"We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend."

"A nice big room with ample parking. In a quiet location just outside the town. No staff on site but a key lock to each room. Spoke to staff on the phone who were very helpful to check everything was ok. "
