"Lovely hotel though a bit like a rabbit warren inside but a great mix of old and new. The best part is the staff - they are just SO friendly, helpful but very professional. On our first evening, as we sat in the lounge, we were approached by an elderly gentleman who enquired how long we were staying and where we had come from etc. We asked him how long had he been staying there and as he walked off he replied "98 years". It turned out he was 98 year old Lord Gisborough! The hotel is owned by Lord Gisborough and his family. The food was excellently prepared and everywhere was very clean."

"Reception staff on arrival and exit were friendly and helpful Room was lovely, nicely decorated with all of the relevant amenities. Bar was well stocked, bar service was great Breakfast was adequate with a good range for me as a vegetarian. Breakfast service was also friendly Overall a great service and lovely hotel - thanks to the team for a lovely stay"

"Amazingly friendly welcome. Heading up to the room through a fog of cigarette smoke did not bode well, but, happily, the room was immaculate. Service was second to none. Free parking in market square roght outside the hotel was a great bonus. Will definitely return to The Leven. "
