"Everyone was so helpful. They let us write to the place we were staying. It was a little difficult to find the office when you see the physical sign walk up the path and you’ll see it right there. It was noted. We just didn’t know what we were looking for, but a sweet gentleman came out and found us and let us where we needed to be. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee. "This place really sucks, seems pretty nice in pictures but has been neglected, apparently for years. There are things like the balcony light not have a switch, the one of the celling fas not working, a single ac unit for the whole place. For these day and age not having Wifi, seems pretty ridiculous. The kitchen is supposed to be semi-equiped, but there is almost nothing. No cookware not utensils, not even coffee mugs. In general everything is in a very poorly and abandoned state. "

"Clean room and steps from the pool. The air conditioner is ice cold and the bed very comfy. We also liked the spacious shower. Pops ice cream is to die for and we enjoyed the short walk to mantas beach where we saw many monkeys with their babies, a sloth and her baby too along with the resident macaws! The pool is clean huge and very welcoming!! We liked the iguanas sunning beside the pool too. We would stay again, very private and abundant wildlife too"

"Pumilio Mountain & Ocean Hotel was the perfect place to begin our Costa Rica adventure. Located between San José and Jacó, it made the first drive from the airport easy and stress-free. "This was an excellent place to stay and the breakfast was amazing. Just be aware our room was right next to the road so there was a bit of traffic noise. Also, the only lock is the keypad. There is no secondary swing lock inside of the room to keep someone from entering. Otherwise it is a very beautiful boutique hotel."

"Nothing about this stay was acceptable. If I could give less than one star, I would. 1. No hot water in the unit. 2. Kitchen was infested with ants and effectively unusable, forcing us to eat out. 3. Curtain rail in the bedroom was held together with duct tape and eventually fell down onto my children. 4.Beds were misrepresented in the listing. It advertised one King and two Queens; in reality, it was one Queen and two Double beds. 5. Only two towels were provided for four people....

Das Hotel besticht vor allem durch seine Lage im Dschungel und die tolle Anlage- hier fühlt man sich richtig wohl und in Costa Rica angekommen. Der Blick beim leckeren, landestypischen Frühstück ist ein Traum. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die unglaublich leckere Pizza - eine der besten Pizzen, die wir je gegessen haben (und das als Europäer). "We paid months ahead as with many other accommodations, which we've never had any issues with. This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. "
