"Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect."

"We had a lovely stay at the Royal Oak. Hannah was extremely helpful and was quick to respond when i accidentally deleted the message with the keycode! The room was extremely comfortable and clean. We had a superb meal in the pub, and the staff were very friendly. The room was peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed the views and a glorious sunset. Im an early riser, and i spend some time identifying the birds in the location. Even a chicken popped in to say hello! My partner is diabetic and though...

"A very comfortable bed and the room had everything needed for a short stay. Staff were great and very helpful. Parking was right next to the hotel and off-road. Breakfast had great choices and the poached eggs were just right. "

"Lovely, clean room reflecting the character of the hotel and bathroom was modern & contemporary. Despite being on the busy high street my room was quiet and I had a good night’s sleep, the bed was big and linen was lovely and crisp. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent coffee served in the coffee lounge. I will book again. "

"The hotel is ideally situated for the Wye Valley with great views. We had a great room which had plenty of space including a sofa, clean, great facilities and well serviced. The breakfast was really good with a great choice and the breakfast staff were really welcoming and friendly. Also the hotel had good quality pub food at a reasonable cost.
