"We were surprised to learn that we ended up at a time share resort. The listing had the word “aparthotel” in small print which is the code for understanding that this isn’t a standard hotel arrangement. Our suite was OK but pretty blah. A second disappointment was that we were put in an accessible suite which meant that the bathroom was unpleasant. And while there is a good restaurant on the property it doesn’t serve breakfast so you need to buy food at their little market or the local grocery store which was recovering from a problem with their refrigeration system. The resort location is close to several great beaches and Hanelei is a prime area to explore. And once we adjusted to the timeshare mode our stay was pleasant. "

"Parking is great, views of the sea from various points on the property are stunning. Places are spacious and clean and beautifully decorated. "

"There's a lot of incidental fees and taxes at the end of your stay. No room service unless you stay for two weeks. "

"The kitchen comes with the basic amenities, but none of the things that you would need like oil or anything past salt and pepper."
