Sunset at the Palms Resort - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Gorgeous Polynesian effects of the structural theme. I am an avid World traveler, my review comes from knowing vast cultures -no pride in keeping the wood maintained - rain gutters not maintained - grounds have beautiful vegetation but simple aspects such as clipping off dead leaves, weeds, not well respected by staff. -staff often times were not smiling, appeared to not seem happy, most staff but not all seemed cold, no pride in representing their resort and country to guests/tourists who have come to visit and enjoy their country. -my room was just fine, it was amazing for listening to nature all night and the rain storms! -the food was ok, same mostly daily. i am not picky about that , but some guests I had met did not like it. - I did not like drinking my cocktails from cafeteria style cups and plastic stemware -A Jamaican is the owner of this property. I would like to see him take more pride in staffing a good foundation of employees excited to represent his brand to travelers excited to explore Negril. - Coffee bar is a cute idea, coffee was very weak. - Staff was always picking up tableware as if they were closing down way too soon. Tables should be left made up until complete closure of dining hours not while guest are still eating , sitting. Guests that arrive towards closing should not feel as though they cannot still sit for their meals. - I observed staff daily sitting on their cell phones, not interacting with guests."

"Stayed for 7 nights & had a pleasant experience overall. Beautiful views, tidy grounds, ample parking, good location for nightlife, quiet & relaxed ambience. I have no preference among front desk, waiters, housekeeping, and maintenance. They all did their job well and were very professional. Breakfast was good too. I do wish it were hotter but that’s personal preference. There was an issue with my room that I did have to complain about 3 times & it was resolved upon the 3rd complaint. I think they took reasonable steps to rectify it the first time. By the 2nd attempt, however, it was obvious that they did not have the right resources to fix it in a timely fashion. I should’ve been moved to a different room at that point but the fact that they were fully booked complicates this. However, no one followed up with me to see if any of the first 2 solutions worked. Proactive communication can change/influence a guests perception. Anyways, the fix didn't work, so I complained a third time and was finally relocated. I took a few days to write this review so I have forgotten names. I wish to highlight the gentleman that assisted with relocating me to the new room. He was exceptional. He even helped with the luggage to go up to the room. The 2nd maintenance guy was also a gem. Housekeeping supervisor deserves her position. Good job. Front desk ladies were lovely too. I think this hotel offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. Would I return? Yes."

"Floors were slick after the rain which caused me to fall. Room floors were also very slippery, but clean. Staff comes in at odd hours and even during the late evening when you might be out and found my credit card and stole my numbers"

"My recent stay May 8 -13 at Deja Resort All-Inclusive with my family of five was truly exceptional and exceeded expectations. The customer service is second to none at Reservations (Nichelle-Ann, Kadian; Check-in desk (Lauryn, Male staff). While we were out and about there was an issue with two of our rooms and the check-in desk staff waited until we get back to solved the issues with excellent professionalism, a rare find, even in luxury establishments. The dining room was top-notch for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive who remembered my coffee order each morning. (Marie, Norida, Chevell, Crystal, and Dexter). Dinner at the Italian restaurant was exquisite, particularly the Alfredo Pasta with shrimp, grilled fish marinated in local spices. The service was impeccable, our waitress anticipated our every need. The location is perfect, a short stroll to Doctor’s Cave Beach but what truly set this hotel apart was cleanliness and the staff. A particularly memorable touch was the upstairs lounge fit for a evening relaxation with the panoramic views of the sea. This hotel offers a superior blend of comfort, service, and responsible tourism, making it a highly recommended choice for travelers. Tuesday night out door entertinment was fantastic. Overall, I highly recommended Deja Resort for travelers who appreciate both comfort and easy access to outdoor activities. Joye F. (Frequent traveler from Maryland)"

"I was charge for staying at this resort and that was not true. Cool I went to the resort and I was deny access and my reservation was canceled and then I was denying getting a refund. I am still investigating"

"Rated 4 stars based on the following: The room, we had a swim out suite, is definitely 5 star as is the resort staff. The gym and hydrotherapy were also 5 star. My wife had a 3 star experience at the spa - mine was 4 star. Where things broke down was in the food department and the party culture. The food was 3 stars at best, staff is amazing and attentive, but the food just was not that good. They tried really hard to upscale the dining experience by providing individual themed restaurants in addition to the buffet. But none of them were really any better than what you can get at the buffet. Food in general was just ok - kinda meh. The party culture was not ideal, the resort seemed to change with the crowd. The weekend was full of wedding parties so the music was blaring all day and late into the night. We did not enjoy the music at all so that left us to sit inside or tolerate it."
