"Gave a mid review on property maintenance since our building suffered a power loss for around 2 hours during the night and maybe around 3 hours the following day in the evening. There was no communication from the staff so that was disappointing but it was eventually resolved. Everything else was great. That alone spoiled the trip. If the issue is permanently fixed or at least the staff would be more forthcoming, I'd definitely recommend."

"The beach and ocean water the best so far. I’ve been in Dominican Republic 4 times different resorts and same amount in Mexico. None of them beat the beach in negril Jamaica.. very calm, warm and so clear.. even better than Aruba. The food, staff and entertainment was good."

"We’ve been to other Couples Properties and always have had a great time. When we booked we did realize that it was “hurricane season”, but if i would have known that because of the low occupancy things would be different at the resort i might have thought twice about booking. First, not all the buildings were open. They said they were using the slow time to do some refreshing of some of the rooms. Our dinner choices at night were also limited due to the low occupancy (not all of the restaurants were open). A lot of the activities during the day didn’t happen. It took 3 calls to the front desk to have someone come and stock our mini bar. That being said, the beach is absolutely beautiful. The pool and swim up bar were great. For the most part the people were friendly. Our room was as expected. However it wasn’t really beachfront, it was more beach side view. I’m not saying that i wouldn’t go back, i just would go back at the end of August. I would like to see what the resort is like during the high season before i make my final decision."

"This resort is fantastic but personally i feel paying extra to be signature level wasnt really work it. I dont feel like we had and priority when making resturant reservations, because of this we werent able to dine in one of the restaurants on day one, we tried to do the walk up and see if they could get us in and where told to come back at 730, when we did they told us the just took a large group in and couldnt guarantee how long it would take to get service. after traveling all day we just wanted to sit down and eat a good meal. so we left and went to the sports bar, that was a huge mistake. we sat there for 15-20 min and not a single worker came to out take yet 3 or 4 where standing and talking by the bar, and 4 other groups came in and where greeted within 45 seconds. the only difference between us and the other groups is we are white. we finally left after 20 minutes. we decided to try it again a few days later and same situation completely ignored! we just ate off the small buffet and went up to the bar. we where there maybe an hour and not once did someone come to our table. it was like we where completely invisible. this was the only place we were treated like this, everywhere else was fantastic. The main reason why i booked this resort was the spa facility and i was not disappointed! it is absolutely beautiful! i really enjoyed the turkish bath! I did get a massage as well and it was great also! the hibachi and steakhouse where really good, the rest where ok."

"Transpo to & from the airport: free and easy. Check-in: easy and quick. Our butler (Romaine) did not disappoint, and took care of anything we asked for: reservations for dinners and activities, reserving beach chairs, escorting us to meals and activities, bringing us breakfast in bed every morning, leaving snacks and treats in the room for us, making sure we always had a drink in our hands and a smile on our faces! The grounds are clean and beautiful, the food is good and plentiful with a nice variety, the staff were all super helpful and friendly, and the sunsets are amazing! The No Tipping Policy was really nice (tipping: only allowed in very limited circumstances, and never expected). The room: spacious and quiet, with a big comfy bed, doors that closed across the balcony to keep the sunlight out when you wanted to sleep, the mini-fridge was stocked daily, and we were not bothered when the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door. The pools and hot tubs: clean, and dry towels were always available. The ocean and beach: beautiful, clear water, clean sand, and no seaweed! You can walk the 7 Mile Beach directly from the resort, if you want a nice walk or if you want to interact with locals or vendors that sell various items (no pushiness if you don’t want to buy). The fitness center: spacious and had everything we needed for a good workout. The spa: amazing massages! Overall, a nice mix of fun/party and quiet relaxation, and just a GREAT vacation from start to finish!"
