"Room was in very bad condition stains on the ceiling and walls, furniture and doors falling to pieces and unsafe also no sockets we had booked a superior room and it looked nothing like the pictures. The food however was great and the staff were very nice the outside pool area and animation team were also fantastic. The location was perfect right on the beach and next to the square with a beautiful walk into Puerto del Carmen over all an ok hotel if they had the rooms upgraded it would be fab."

"I enjoyed a 5 night break at Sands. A little apprehensive due to several negative reviews however my experience was very positive. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need including full fridge freezer and dishwasher. The entire complex is very clean and is thoughtfully laid out. I enjoyed the lane swimming and the surrounding area is perfect for running. I also used the gym several times. Shops and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk. "Lovely hotel with great facilities and very relaxed atmosphere. Although I have given 5 stars for staff and service this is more a reflection upon the staff that are working very hard in what is clearly an understaffed hotel. This is not their fault and something that the management should be paying close attention to. All in all we had a really nice time and will be returning at some point"
